Backflow Prevention Revalidation Course

The backflow revalidation is a review of the current legislation relating to backflow procedures and practices. Specifically, the content covers the requirement to test, commission, and maintain backflow prevention devices and includes preparation for the work, the identification of testing and commissioning requirements, the physical testing and commissioning of devices, the maintenance of devices, and the completion of work finalisation processes.

This is a QBCC approved online course required for all plumbers who need to renew the backflow endorsement on their plumbing licence. The revalidation is required to be successfully completed every five years to maintain the backflow endorsement on your licence.

A Unique Student Identifier (USI). For more information, if you do not have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) please logon to www.usi.gov.au to create your USI. In the 'Manage Permissions' area, provide MPAQ's RTO number – 30473, then select an expiry period of your choice.

Please plan to do your backflow revalidation within three months of your backflow endorsement expiry date. If you complete your backflow revalidation more than three months before your expiry date, you won't be eligible for the CSQ Subsidy.

Below is the maximum amount of funding that is available for this unit, for eligible participants (please refer to MPAQ webpage for eligibility requirements) :

CSQ Subsidy Refund - $208.00 (to be refunded after the completion of the course)

There are 3 Assessments to complete.
2 online written assessments with short answers and the submission of 7 Form 9's.

The form 9's will need to consist of the following:

- 1 SCV report
- 3 DCV reports
- 3 RPZ reports.
